Cult Culture

Culture is  important no matter which culture it is. Canadian culture, Inuit culture, Jewish culture, or Muslim culture, no matter who's culture it is it must be remembered and respected. As long as people remember and respect others cultures i feel that people should be able to be a part of any culture or none if they so please. Personally as an Inuit, Canadian, Jew i take pride in my cultures. i like country foods, Inuit art and story's, i also like maple syrup, toques, and bagels and lox. i don't think that cultures need protection from media influence i think that people need to stop doing stupid things in the name of their culture. A perfect example of this is the Shafia murder trial. Muslims are persecuted based on the actions of extremists and radicals, cultures don't need to be protected from media they need to be protected from idiots. While being proud of a culture is one thing it's the actions of the few that shape the options of many.  

             

First media Lit Continued

Continuing from a couple days ago mass media to me is a big deal. Everyday i do something with some sort of media. From the Onion to Cracked or maybe a few hours on Skyrim if i had no way to get these kinds of things i would go crazy. if i was force to give up my forms of media not only would i be bored to tears but i would know nothing of the outside world and would slowly become a hermit. A relic of an age past where dinosaurs ruled the world and phones had cords. Media gives me the tools to stay aware and i like that.
